Soul Players, South Alamosa

Soul Players, South Alamosa is part of Soul Players of the Valley Comprehensive Community Planning which consists of Antonito, Capulin, San Luis, and South Alamosa. Soul Players of the Valley communities work collectively to create individual, symbiotic plans that are mutually beneficial to all four communities. The communal model encourages communities to lend assistance, resources, and implementation strategies.
Each community is working towards a community hub or center. Shooting Stars has emerged from this effort to serve as the community hub for South Alamosa. Communities are working with the Latino Community Foundation to create safe spaces for all generations and to use communal thinking to break down systemic racism and barriers to build individual as well as collective power.
