Co-Founder/Project Manager
Cristalray Dominguez
Born and raised in Alamosa, Colorado, Cristalray was instilled with the awareness of the importance of giving back to her community from a very young age. In 2018 she was was a participant in the Family Leadership Training Institute and then certified as facilitator. She has now facilitated three cohorts in the San Luis Valley.

In 2019 Cristalray was part of the team which formed the Soul Players of the Valley, a group of four communities working towards local equity. She has completed both the Leadership on the Ground program and the Creative Leadership Institute. In 2020 she received the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado Philanthropy Award. She is cofounder of Shooting Stars Cultural and Leadership Center with her husband Jamie Dominguez. Cristalray strives to help other Latino women find their voices and take on leadership roles to better their communities and families.

Jamie Dominguez
Jamie Dominguez is a lifetime resident of the San Luis Valley. He worked his way through poverty, exposure to substance abuse, systemic racism and oppression to become the person he is today; dedicated to promoting leadership and community healing.
Jamie is the president of the philanthropic Five Star Car Club, and along with his wife Cristalray Dominguez, cofounder of Shooting Stars Cultural and Leadership Center. Jamie is part of multiple community engagement research projects that focus on cultural and generational backgrounds associated with community engagement and numerous community initiatives; including Alamosa Voices, Soul Players of the Valley, Alamosa Community Drivers and The Champions Mentoring. He is a certified Family Leadership Training Institute Facilitator and a Sources of Strength Coordinator. His personal experiences have driven him to promote leadership and community engagement in others.
